Valor Computerized Systems Continues to Expand Its
Products for DFM and CAD/CAM Time to Market Productivity

Market Strategy - Valor’s market strategy to vertically integrate Design, Fabrication, and Assembly for the Electronics Interconnect Industry has take several momentous steps forward. With the introduction of the Trilogy 5000 Pre-Production Engineering CAM System for Assembly, Valor completes an important component towards delivering the best in class Suite of Manufacturing Simulation DFM and CAM technology, to all three segments of the electronics industry.

The Trilogy 5000 Assembly product launching at Celestica and Nortel will complement Valor's product offerings to the PCB Design and Fabrication markets. Valor's products are widely used in these markets complemented by the ODB++ data transfer format to reduce revision spins while achieving considerable time to market improvements. Today over 400 PCB factories worldwide have ODB++ in production use today. Over 150 OEM’s world wide have the Enterprise 3000 DFM Review system in use also generating ODB++..

To accelerate deployment of the tools into the market and enable faster consummations of the above benefits by the users, Valor have entered into several strategic alliances.

Strategic Partnerships

PCB Fabrication - Frontline PCB solutions LP was formed as a joined venture of Valor Computerized System Ltd. and Orbotech Ltd. Each party holds 50% of Frontline which will have the marketing rights for all the CAM products of both Orbotech Ltd. as well as Valor Computerized Systems Ltd. Frontline PCB Solutions will maintain support for all existing PCB CAM products. Long term development and growth will be based on all technology available to Frontline from both Orbotech and Valor with an immediate focus on the GENESIS 2000 PCB CAM system as well as the XPLAN advanced automation environment. Frontline PCB Solutions LP will sale and service PCB CAM solutions through Valor and Orbotech’s existing channels worldwide. The establishment of the joint venture was done with no change in the ownership of Valor Computerized Systems Ltd.

PCB Design - Valor will continue to independently sell the Enterprise 3000 DFM Simulation tool for auditing PCB layout design. To accelerate deployment of the product Valor has formed strategic partnerships with Cadence and Zuken-Redac.

PCB Assembly –With the introduction of the Trilogy 5000 Pre Production Engineering CAM System for Assembly, Valor completes an important component towards delivering the best in class Suite of Manufacturing Simulation DFM and CAM technology, to all three segments of the electronics industry.

Open Systems Alliance - Valor’s formation of an Open Systems Alliance (OSA) for companies that have aligned themselves with Valor’s new open database ODB++, has generated unprecedented cooperation between designers and manufacturers. The OSA has many registered software CAD and CAM companies such as Cadence, Zuken Redac, VeriBest and PADS that are discovering the benefits in being ODB++ compatible. Four of the leading Five EDA PCB Layout software suppliers are OSA partners.

Valor Computerized Systems has evolved as one of the leading suppliers of CAM for the PCB industry creating an era of reengineering for PCB fabricators, to delivering a Manufacturing Simulation system to OEM’s enabling PCB Designers to review manufacturing problems while still at the design stage. Now with the introduction of the Trilogy 5000, Valor will redefine CAM and shop floor integration for the Assembly industry.

This combination of DFM solutions to OEM’s and CAM for Fabrication and Assembly combined with the enabling technology of the ODB++ Intelligent Data Format Transfer, has positioned Valor as the only company supplying a fully integration suite of tools for design through manufacturing. This kind of strategic thinking has established Valor as the company of choice for forward thinking companies looking for a competitive advantage in the way the they do business.
